Denny Hamlin VS Kyle Busch , going forward who do you like
I think I’m as fair as it comes to when debating Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch topics. In 2009 I made my bold prediction probably two months before it finally happened that Kyle Busch wouldn’t make the Chase. Last year I beat the drum that Denny Hamlin isn’t a clutch driver all year long.
At this point in the season who do you like more? Forget what happened, only be future looking. From here forward I like Denny Hamlin more. I think the 11 team is getting their stuff together and will make a semi serious charge from here on out. The schedule is also more favorable to Denny Hamlin going forward. He’s always performed better than Kyle Busch in the Chase. What’s really going against Kyle Busch is that I think the fuse is lite and in time the 18 team will really start to self destruct.Who do you like more going forward?.

I’ll take Kyle Busch. The new wild card rule will let Kyle take more chances and more aggressive during the regular season, in other words he’ll be having a lot more fun. His two wins pretty much assure him a spot in the Chase, which Hamlin is barely clinging to right now. Less pressure means the 18 team, which already has the best pit crew in the business, can experiment more and maybe hit on something for the Chase.

I’ll take Kyle. He is fast, on and off of the track. (too early for that joke?) I feel there is still some negative mojo/ lingering negative tension if you will, in the 11 camp. If another race is lost by a bad pit stop, crew chief call, or some sort of team mistake, I can see that team crumbling. Probably a little extreme at this point, but I think a Ford/Zippy swap would benefit all parties involved.

I would take Kyle Busch over Denny Hamlin pretty much every week. Rowdy will win the championship within the next three years I believe.

The key thing Kyle Busch is missing is leadership coming either from him or his crew chief. There’s negative leadership coming from him and none coming from his crew chief. That formula never works. It works in the short run but never the long run.
When I examine the 11 team I think Denny Hamlin is ready to be the leader. Hamlin is also better at managing races then Kyle Busch will ever be. Busch’s have always struggled to overcome adversity. It’s in their blood like getting pulled over by cops.

The huge jump in maturity that Kyle has made from last season to this season has really shown. I didn’t think it was possible, but it’s almost like he is a better driver because of it. He’s still going to have his whiny fits, but the less they happen, the better. His brother is now the immature one in my eyes haha.

The Kyle Busch maturity argument always makes me chuckle. Kyle Busch is only mature under the circumstance everything is going his way. Before the season started people were trumpeting his new found maturity. I’m still waiting to see it.

One more thing I forgot when I was comparing the Busch brothers to one another in my 11:02 time stamped post. They both have gotten black eyes at the track LOL

I think Kyle is a better driver than Hamlin and think that Mike Ford and crew need to get there act together a little bit. Hamlin always has some little something going wrong on his car for whatever reason. Also Hamlin needs to get more aggressive or he will never win a championship, sometimes you just got to stick that car up there and take it 3 or 4 wide whatever it takes and Hamlin won’t do it–Kyle has that aggression and is now learning a little a patience as well–there is a time for aggression and a time to be patient…..Hamlin doesn’t have the aggressiveness he needs.
